Maken is a Member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, College of Immigration Citizenship Consultants of Canada, and is also an Adjunct professor at Ashton College.
Having lived and practiced immigration law in both Canada and the U.S., Maken has perfected his skills to provide customized immigration services to his clients. He provides services in most areas of the U.S. immigration laws, and his Canadian practice is primarily focused on the business side of the immigration laws. Maken understands the long and complex processing bureaucracy of immigration cases, which allows him to protect his clients’ legal status while their immigration case is being processed.
In his legal practice, Maken has successfully made arguments on behalf of his clients before the Federal Immigration Courts of the United States, The Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Maken received his Juris Doctorate Degree in law from Charlotte School of Law, Certification in Law from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor Degree from the University of British Columbia.
